2005 Saturn Ion

The 2005 Saturn Ion is built on the latest Delta global small car platform, and was introduced in early 2003. The series had some innovative features like a continuously variable transmission, and half-doors at the rear of the car that allowed rear passengers easy access.

Their red line edition saw the introduction of the Ion Quad Coupe in 2004. The Quad coupe is powered by a super-charged V-4 2.0 liter engine that produces 205 horsepower and comes with a five speed manual transmission.

For the 2005 Saturn Ion series, Saturn has made a few changes. A bigger four spoke steering wheel has been introduced, there is a new grille in place, and the car also gets a fresh fascia, producing less engine noise thanks to its space-frame construction.

Tire options are aplenty with a choice of tires ranging from 14 inches, 15 inches, 16 inches, and 17 inches. The 2005 Saturn Ion can seat five people comfortably and holds around 14.5 cubic feet of luggage.
